facilitating for over 10 years in Greater Boston. He specializes in the Solution-Focused Method,
Radical Candor, and in working with “low-trust, high-heterogeneity” groups of people that are not necessarily predisposed to agree.
Join us as we explore our self-awareness during communications.
This is part of our continued practice to incorporate more inclusive language and gain awareness of the biases that inform our language.

Topic 2: The Psychological Impact of Racial Trauma & How it Manifests at Work

Topic 4: Supporting Coming out Day: LGBTQIA+ Safety

Presenter: Melissa MacNish Nishman
Melissa is deeply committed to creating safe spaces for trans, non-binary and queer youth
to develop healthy identities. For the past decade, Melissa has had the privilege of supporting
many families through the process of understanding a family member’s gender identity and
expression and has helped both families and individuals navigate the complex issues that often
arise as a result of a gender transition or non-binary gender presentation.
As allies and parents of LGBTQ+ identified persons and youth, ensuring safety and inclusivity are top priorities. Join us in our continued advocacy work on learning how to support safe spaces and environments for persons and youth that are LGBTQ+ identified.

Topic 5: Fostering Belonging in the Workplace

Presenter: Dr. Lavanya Devdas
Dr. Lavanya Devdas is a licensed psychologist in PA and NY and has a private practice in
Doylestown, PA, for mental health therapy for adults. Using an integrative approach, she treats
anxiety, depression, and relational challenges within the context and lived experiences of the
individual and their respective familial and social environments. She is also an advocate for
addressing mental health needs and coping at the group and communal levels, including in
communities of color.
Having confidence in bringing our unique identities to the workplace requires a cultivated sense of belonging. Join us as we learn how to understand each other's unique differences to foster acceptance and belonging in the workplace.
