Ergonomics is about how we design and arrange our bodies and atmosphere every day to interact safely and efficiently. This month we will provide tips around posture in the work environment.
Presented by Iris Sokol
This presentation teaches basic ergonomic principles and the importance of proper body mechanics. Iris will demonstrate a variety of adjustments that can make a workstation more comfortable and ergonomically correct, often at little or no expense. Additionally, this presentation will take participants through a mini seated stretch break.
Presented by Gary Cormier
An ally is a trusted force for good – being an ally is more than being sympathetic towards those who experience discrimination – it’s more than believing in equality – it’s being willing to act with and for others in pursuit of ending oppression and creating equality. The session includes five important steps one can take to be a better ally toward those from underrepresented communities.*If you need reasonable accommodations, including ASL interpreters, CART, or other, please email us by June 25th - firstname.lastname@example.org.
